Who we are

Bloomsbury Maintenance was founded as a sister company to Bloomsbury Construction Group (BCG), the market leaders in luxury residential and hotel refurbishment. Mark von Herkomer

Chairman
As founder and trustee of Bloomsbury Football and HvH Arts, Mark is also a dedicated proponent of social equality for young people. Bloomsbury Football delivers the best football experience in London irrespective of ability to pay, while HvH Arts offers a gateway to the arts through free art classes, workshops and scholarships.

Mark’s ancestors are the inspiration behind his career in the construction industry and his particular interest in super-prime homes. His great-grandfather, Victorian artist Sir Hubert von Herkomer, lived in a four-storey Romanesque castle known as Lululaund, which was built in Hertfordshire in 1882 by Sir Hubert’s father and uncles. This remarkable building, designed by the American architect Henry Hobson Richardson, was where Sir Hubert painted his masterpieces, pioneered the social realism movement, and provided the first free art school of its kind. Over a century on, Mark’s great-grandfather continues to inform and inspire his love of the arts and architecture, his passion for beautiful design, and his work to advance the luxury residential sector.
